Project description

Within the framework of the characterization activities of radioactive waste of the CEA of CADARACHE, DEFI SYSTEMES supplied a set of cell equipment allowing the handling, the cutting, the positioning, and the weighing of waste packages.

Within the framework of this contract, the DEFI SYSTEMES supply includes:

• A handling beam, capacity 3 tons, with controlled adjustment of the position of the center of gravity,
• A holding frame, allowing the clamping of the package during its cutting by hot wire,
• A positioning frame, allowing the adjustment of the position of the package with respect to the gamma spectrometry device ensuring its cartography,
• A weighing system, with a capacity of 3 tons.

Within the framework of this project, DEFI SYSTEMES' teams carried out the studies, the realization, the adjustment in factory, as well as the installation and the start-up of the equipment on the customer's site.
