Project
Project description
AmiaLab is a CEA Marcoule laboratory dedicated to the identification and detection of asbestos and RCF (refractory ceramic fibers) in radioactive environments. The laboratory wished to equip itself with a double glove box, for analysis of samples of materials potentially containing asbestos and radioactive.
To meet this need, DEFI SYSTEMES designed and built a set of 2 glove boxes, connected by a transfer lock, and equipped with introduction locks. To ensure containment during operations, the two enclosures are maintained under filtered air sweep, and meet class 3 tightness criteria according to NF M 62-200 (leak rate less than or equal to 10-1 h-1).
Within the framework of this project, DEFI SYSTEMES' teams carried out the studies, the realization, the adjustment in factory, as well as the installation and the start-up of the equipment on the customer's site. The tightness tests of the enclosures were also carried out by one of our COFREND 2 operators.
