In the context of the development of fuel cell technologies for automotive applications, it is necessary to be able to characterize their performance according to the operating conditions. For this reason, the CEA wished to equip itself with a new test bench allowing the testing of PEMFC type fuel cells with a power of up to 4.2 kW.
The GALIBIER test bench allows a fuel cell to be supplied with gas, dynamically, by following a range of parameters selected on a dedicated control PC. Among these parameters, we can mention hygrometry, pressure, temperature, flow rate, type of gas, ... It also allows the monitoring and the export of the operating conditions and delivered power, via supervision, as well as the associated load dissipation.
Within the framework of this project, DEFI SYSTEMES' teams carried out the studies, the realization, the adjustment in factory, as well as the installation and the start-up of the equipment on the customer's site.
